In the period in which Vincent van Gogh lived in Nuenen (1883-1885), he regularly visited Eindhoven. He usually went there on foot. Vincent had three students in Eindhoven whom he taught in painting still lifes. He became good friends with two of them. At that time, Vincent also bought his paint materials in Eindhoven and had lithographs printed there. Not all Van Gogh Monuments in Eindhoven are located directly on this route. You can visit them. This route contains short descriptions to the Van Gogh Monuments that are located a little way along the route.

How does the Van Gogh cycle route work?
The Van Gogh cycle route is set out via the Brabant junction system. Under each junction sign you will find a Van Gogh cycle route sign. Simply follow the Van Gogh cycle route signs from one numbered junction to another. Between the nodes you follow the signage of the junction system.
