Loop NH Sint Maartensvlotbrug (campsite Strand49) to Schoorl and Bergen aan Zee

A route through the meadows and fields of, among others, Burgerbrug and the forests of Schoorl and Bergen to Bergen aan Zee. The forests increasingly transition into dune areas as you approach the sea. In Bergen aan Zee, you can enjoy the beach and pavilions.

The return route is very beautiful through the dunes from Bergen aan Zee to Sint Maartenszee and ultimately back to the campsite in Sint Maartensvlotbrug.
Along the way, there are beautiful views of sand dunes, dune valleys, and dune pans. Along the dunes from Schoorl, there is a good view of the bird islands of the nature reserve 'de Putten'. Before you cross over to the Hondsbossche dunes, the Sea Bird Viewing Point Camperduin is also recommended, offering a view of the lagoon. Beyond the bird islands, the route briefly goes back up on the dike where you have a view of the water area between the two dune strips of the Hondsbossche dunes (the former Hondsbossche sea defense and the new dune development near the sea). After the Panoramaduin, the last stretch goes through the dunes to Sint Maartenszee. This part is unpaved but manageable, showcasing a different type of dune; here you also pass the nuclear reactor in Petten. From Sint Maartenszee, you return to the campsite via the vlotbrug.
