Eurode walk nr 84 The Namense Stone Wijnandsrade - Hunnecum

The old farm with the catering establishment de Naamse Steen in Laar is the starting and ending point. For a delicious cup of coffee before the start of this beautiful nature route, this establishment is indeed located on the edge of the highway, but further in a lovely walking and cycling area.

The route goes almost entirely through nature and is slightly undulating. For the experienced hiker, the entire route is easy to walk, and for a shorter walk, there is the opportunity to cut off the loop at Hunnecum. The distance then is 9 kilometers. The route takes you through meadows, country lanes, and sunken roads, but also over the plateau with beautiful views, leading to chapels, crucifixes, old farms, small hamlets, a castle, and many more sights. A surprisingly beautiful journey from start to finish. And of course, at the endpoint, it's definitely a great moment to relax with a delicious specialty beer or a local snack.
