The Zittwerke AG was a front company of the Junkers Aircraft and Engine Works AG, which existed from 1944 to 1945 in Zittau and its district Großporitsch.
After the Allies increasingly conducted air strikes on German industrial centers and urban areas since January 1943, many companies involved in armaments production began searching for suitable locations for production relocations. These included both underground relocation sites and front companies established outside urban areas.
