In the courtyard of Nossa Senhora de Lourdes or Jesus Maria José , there is a chapel that the founder dedicated to the Holy Family .
Later, the Brotherhood ordered the statue of Our Lady of Lourdes to be placed there. Above the door of the beautiful chapel hangs the coat of arms of Bishop D. Manuel de Vasconcelos Pereira, its builder.
In front of this chapel is the Sereia Fountain , which takes its name from the fact that it features a sculpture of a merman (!not a mermon!) riding a dolphin.
