Our Lady of Perpetual Help , sometimes also Our Lady of Help and Victory, is a title of Mary , associated with a Byzantine icon of the same name. The icon has been in Rome since the end of the 15th century, but is possibly older. The image is very popular among Roman Catholics. In the Eastern Orthodox Church the image is known as Theotokos of the Passion (literally: Godbearer of the Passion), in Russian Strasdnaia.
