Church of Our Lady of Guia- Ponte de Lima

The Church of Nossa Senhora da Guia was built between the end of the 16th and the beginning of the 17th century, replacing an old chapel dedicated to Saint Vincent the Martyr.

The structure has a longitudinal plan with a single nave, choir, sacristy and bell tower . The exterior of the church is characterized by the presence of a gallery with three arches and a central niche with the image of Our Lady of Guia .

Inside, the decoration is characterized by a combination of gilded woodwork and polychrome tiles with a 17th-century pattern . The nave has two altars, pulpits and a high choir, while the choir has a vault with painted coffered ceilings and a gilded altarpiece.
