The Castle Fountain (also known as the Largo do Paço Fountain) is a medium-sized fountain built in 1723 by order of Archbishop D. Rodrigo de Moura Telles. Rodrigo de Moura Telles.
It has two basins , a larger lower basin and a smaller upper basin, supported by six angels and surrounded by six castles.
On top of the fountain is a female figure . Some sources claim that this figure is a representation of Braga, but there is no historical documentation that confirms this.
