Covering a staggering 80,000 acres, the Phu Toei National Park comprises Ong Phra Forest, Khao Phu Rakam Forest, and Khao Huai Phlu Forest of Dan Chang District in Suphan Buri Province. The lush forest contains a large variety flora and fauna, and is a major watershed area for both SuphanBuri and Kanchanaburi. The mountain range of Phu Toei is also home to thousands of mountain pines and offers beautiful scenic viewpoints. Attractions within the park include waterfalls, a reservoir, campgrounds and an ethnic minority village. Giant cycad trees as old as 300 years abound on Phu Toei Mountain. It has been a national park since 30 September 1998. On 26 May 1991, Lauda Air Flight NG 104 crashed over the park after one of the Boeing 767's thrust reversers deployed in mid-air. A dominant feature of the park is Khao Thevada (Angel Mountain), a 1,123-metre mountain which is the highest in the province.
