The Chrysler Building is undoubtedly the beautiful building of New York, standing 320 meters tall. At its construction in 1930, it was the tallest skyscraper in the world, but its reign was quite brief as it was dethroned by the Empire State Building in 1931. Created by the architect William Van Allen in a magnificent Art Deco style, it was commissioned by the famous American automobile company Chrysler. It is located across from Grand Central Station, at the corner of Lexington Avenue and 42nd Street.
