Description

The Chateau Montelena winery became famous in the historic "Judgement of Paris" wine competition. There, for the first time, a non-French wine was selected as best wine of the world. That wine was a Chardonnay from Chateau Montelena from the Napa Valley. It was a revolution in the wine industry. A bottle of that wine is now on display in the Smithsonian Institute.
