The Boterhuismolen in Warmond is build in 1744, replacing an earlier mill (type; wipmolen) being build in 1634. This mill has been in operation till 1960 and sold to the Rijnlandse Molenstichting afterwards, which arranged for some thorough improvements, of which the last was in 2002. The mill now extracts water on a voluntary basis from the Boterhuispolder.
The mill is a (central government appointed) Monument.
