It is worth visiting the Camino Largo , located next to the park, and enjoying a pleasant walk in the shade of the Canarian palm trees .
The street that connects Las Cruces with Pozo del Cabildo is seven hundred meters long. It is flanked by about 200 typical Canarian palm trees that are about eighty years old (2024). Every 8 meters the promenade is interrupted by a small roundabout in the middle, which is crossed by a street. In 1780, Don Fernando de Molina promoted the construction of this promenade, but since it far exceeded the original budget approved by the Cabildo, he had to complete the work with money from his own pocket and that of his loved ones.
This walk is a tourist attraction and is therefore one of the points visited during the Trail Nocturno of the city of La Laguna, while during the day it is a common recreational site for families.
