This trajectory is not the shortest, but it is definitely the most pleasant way to hike from Apollonía to Kástro and back, passing first by Artemonas and the Panagia Poulati and on the way back by the splendid valley of Erkies and the village of Kato Petali. In the old, fortified capital of the island you can quietly walk through the very picturesque streets or you can discover the ring road around Kástro.You even can have a swim, near the rocks of Dialiskari underneath Poulati or in Seralia, the little harbour of Kastro.
