This hike is one of the longest that can be done in Andros: it crosses the island in all its width, most of the time on beautiful trails. It is also not too difficult - the crossing of the island by Vourkotí, Arní and Katákilos follows a much higher route, while the lower walk from Stavropéda to Messariá follows a less interesting route. The monopátia are still among the most beautiful on Andros.
