Graz es una ciudad austriaca, capital del estado federado de Estiria . Es la segunda ciudad más grande del país. Ciudad universitaria por excelencia, fue nombrada Capital Europea de la Cultura en el año 2003.
Graz está situada a orillas del río Mura al sureste de Austria. Se encuentra a 189 kilómetros de Viena, la capital de país. Limita al norte con Gratkorn, Stattegg y Weinitzen; al este con Kainbach bei Graz, Hart bei Graz y Raaba; al sur con Gössendorf, Feldkirchen bei Graz, Seiersberg y Unterpremstätten, y al oeste con Attendorf y Thal.
