Gurgl es una aldea del municipio Sölden perteneciente a la jurisdicción Imst en Tirol, Austria con 427 habitantes . Consta del pueblo Obergurgl y numerosas pequeñas poblaciones.
Gurgl está situada en los Alpes de Ötztal cerca de la cumbre principal alpina y está rodeada de picos de hasta 3500 m de altitud y de varios glaciares, entre ellos el más grande denominado Gurgler Ferner. Las poblaciones están situadas en el Valle de Gurgl a una altura de 1770 m sobre el nivel del Adria hasta 2154 m sobre el nivel del Adria ; Obergurgl está considerado como el pueblo más alto de Austria con 1907 m sobre el nivel del Adria.
Pertenecen a la localidad Gurgl el pueblo Obergurgl, las aldeas Dreihäusern, Pill y Poschach, die Rotten Angern, Hochgurgl, Kressbrunnen, Pirchhütt y Untergurgl así como die Schutzhüten, Fidelitashütte, Hochwildehaus, Karlsruher Hütte y Ramolhaus.
