Cada domingo después de Pentecostés, se celebra en Ronse la Fiertel en honor a San Hermes. El nombre "Fiertel" proviene de Feretrum, que significa relicario. En esta ronda de 33 km, se llevan en procesión las reliquias de San Hermes. Este Santo es venerado contra el dolor de cabeza, la neurastenia, la rabia y la epilepsia.
La Abadía de Ronse recibió ya en 860 los restos de este santo romano. Durante una incursión de los normandos en 880, se pudieron salvar estas reliquias al hacerlas desaparecer de la abadía.
