En la fachada del Bond Moyson, también se puede notar un gallo. Hay una historia que circula que este fue un regalo de los valones porque, durante una huelga, el departamento de Gante del sindicato supuestamente les proporcionó pan para sobrevivir durante la huelga. En algunas versiones, es Edward Anseele quien una vez recibió el gallo como regalo de los metalúrgicos valones. Sin embargo, esa historia resulta ser incorrecta. Cuando este imponente templo fue reconstruido en 1899, recibió una enorme ventana de Art Nouveau en la fachada, con un gallo cantando en la parte inferior anunciando el nuevo amanecer. Ese "nuevo amanecer" por el que el gallo canta se refiere a una nueva era donde todos serían iguales y podrían llevar una vida feliz.
