El antiguo y delicioso castillo era originalmente un castillo medieval. Fue la sede de la señoría de Munte y, por lo tanto, la residencia de los señores de Munte desde el siglo XI hasta mediados del siglo XV. El castillo ha soportado varios asaltos enemigos y fue parcialmente destruido en guerras posteriores, pero fue remodelado alrededor de 1900.
