La primera piedra se colocó en 1900 y en 1902 se completó el edificio, que ya estaba concebido como casa de descanso. La fachada del edificio ha permanecido casi sin cambios a lo largo de los años. Por supuesto, se llevaron a cabo algunas renovaciones en el interior, pero siempre con respeto por el marco único del edificio. Los últimos trabajos de embellecimiento convirtieron el edificio en una casa de descanso moderna con 43 habitaciones individuales, dos habitaciones para parejas y 6 apartamentos de servicio. Desde principios de 2021, los últimos residentes se han marchado y el edificio está vacío. A finales de 2024, el edificio fue vendido y espera una nueva destinación.
