A la altura del nudo 76 vemos a lo lejos el Hof de Rameyen, un castillo de agua con un núcleo antiguo que data del siglo XIII. “El castillo fue construido por la familia Berthout. Uno de sus residentes más conocidos fue Nicolaas Rubens, el segundo hijo de Peter Paul Rubens, quien pasó aquí sus últimos años. Ahora el castillo es propiedad de la familia Van Gansewinkel”, dice Jef.
El castillo está rodeado de agua y está conectado por un puente levadizo con el camino del castillo. “Tiene nada menos que diez dormitorios, pero lo más impresionante es la capilla. Allí hay un singular suelo de azulejos de mayólica del siglo XVI, posiblemente el más antiguo de este tipo en Benelux.” La granja es patrimonio arquitectónico. Data del segundo cuarto del siglo XVIII. El antiguo señor del castillo Petrus Josephus Legrelle y su esposa Maria Josepha Van Den Bol también construyeron aquí la Capilla de Nuestra Señora del Consuelo de los Afligidos. Eso se puede ver en la piedra del suelo de la capilla.
