Durante la construcción de un aparcamiento cerca de la catedral de San Rumoldo en 2010, se descubrió aquí una fosa común. Se encontraron 41 esqueletos uno sobre otro. Esta fosa común data de la Guerra de los Campesinos de 1798.
El ataque a Malinas fracasó y 41 campesinos fueron ejecutados aquí al pie de la torre de Rumoldo.
