Blankenberge es uno de los principales destinos costeros en cuanto al número de turistas y reservas de hotel. Durante todo el verano, la ciudad costera está muy ocupada. En julio y agosto, se utilizan diariamente decenas de llamados trenes turísticos. Junto con Ostende, es el destino costero más popular durante este período.
La iglesia decanal de San Roque, el antiguo ayuntamiento en estilo renacentista flamenco, el malecón con algunas escaleras de piedra, el casino y el muelle son algunos de los lugares de interés de Blankenberge. Además, hay 2 embarcaderos, uno de madera y el otro de hormigón.
El Sea-Life Centre y el Serpentario también merecen una visita.
