Blankenberge is one of the most important coastal towns in terms of the number of tourists and hotel bookings. The coastal city is very busy all summer long. In July and August, dozens of so-called tourist trains are operated daily. Together with Ostend, it is the most popular seaside destination during this period.
The deanery church of Sint-Rochus, the old town hall in Flemish Renaissance style, the sea dyke with some stone steps, the casino, and the Pier are some of Blankenberge's attractions. Furthermore, there are 2 piers, one made of wood and the other made of concrete.
The Sea-Life Centre and the Serpentarium are also worth a visit.
