Blankenberge is één van de belangrijkste kustplaatsen wat het aantal toeristen en hotelreserveringen betreft. De hele zomer is het erg druk in de kuststad. In juli en augustus worden er dagelijks tientallen zogenaamde toeristentreinen ingezet. Samen met Oostende is het tijdens deze periode de populairste kustbestemming.
De decanale Sint-Rochuskerk, het oud stadhuis in Vlaamse renaissancestijl , de zeedijk met enkele stenen trappen, het casino en de Pier zijn enkele bezienswaardigheden van Blankenberge. Verder zijn er 2 staketsels, waarvan een in hout en de andere in beton.
Het Sea-Life Centre en het Serpentarium zijn ook een bezoekje waard.
