A finales de 2016, Toerisme Vlaanderen anunció que la Casa Ensor sería uno de los cuatro proyectos de palanca en torno al tema de 'atracciones clave'. Los cuatro juntos podían contar con una subvención de 13 385 305 euros. Finalmente, Toerisme Oostende quiere, con Beleef Ensor en Oostende, revitalizar y reorganizar la Casa Ensor para 2018, además de establecer un centro de experiencias junto a la vivienda del artista.
