Fin 2016, Toerisme Vlaanderen a annoncé que la maison Ensor serait l'un des quatre projets phares autour du thème des 'attractions principales'. Les quatre ensemble pouvaient compter sur une subvention de 13 385 305 euros. Enfin, Toerisme Oostende souhaite avec Beleef Ensor à Oostende rénover et réaménager la maison Ensor d'ici 2018, et également créer un centre d'expérience à côté de la maison de l'artiste.
