El Castillo ter Rivieren está muy bien ubicado en un parque de 10 hectáreas. Fue construido en diferentes fases desde el siglo XII hasta el siglo XIX.
En el siglo XII, había una torre de defensa aquí. El nombre del castillo proviene del esposo de la heredera de la familia Clutinck, ricos industriales y propietarios del castillo: Charles de Rivieren d'Arschot.
En 1705, el nieto de Gérard-François-Balthasar de Villegas compró el castillo, y permaneció en la familia Villegas de Saint Pierre Jette hasta que fue vendido en 1973.
Hoy, el castillo se puede utilizar para conferencias, recepciones, exposiciones...
