El molino de viento blanco fue construido alrededor de 1880 para reemplazar un molino de palas de madera de 1738. Hace algunos años, ese molino original, que mostraba grietas y fisuras, fue demolido y reconstruido completamente a unos pocos metros de distancia. La llanura frente al molino se utilizó en su momento como decorado en la película 'De Vlaschaard'. También se encuentra la Torre de Observación (Verrekijker) que funcionó como puesto de observación para las tropas alemanas durante la Primera Guerra Mundial.
