El Castillo
En 1613, Herman de Trappé, exalcalde de Lieja, estableció una fábrica de acero a lo largo de las Rulles. Le dio su nombre a la finca y al castillo que construyó: la Trapperie.
Durante los siglos XVII y XVIII, bajo el impulso de la familia Marchant, la finca se expandió. Ahí se añadió la forja y el horno de Bolonia, que se encuentra río arriba de la Trapperie.
La prosperidad de las fundiciones asegurará el desarrollo y el crecimiento económico de Habay-la-vieille.
La fábrica cerró en 1839. Fue nivelada con el suelo y el castillo fue renovado en 1871. Hoy en día, la finca es propiedad de la familia del Príncipe de Mérode.
