Zellik es una parte del municipio de Asse situada en Pajottenland en la provincia belga de Brabante Flamenco. Zellik fue un municipio independiente hasta la reorganización municipal del 1 de enero de 1977. La parte del municipio está altamente urbanizada y se ha unido a la aglomeración de Bruselas. Zellik se menciona en 974 como Sethleca, en un documento en el que el emperador Otto II devuelve bienes a los monjes de la abadía de San Bavón en Gante. Su nombre proviene del antiguo propietario gala-romano Setilius y su asentamiento Setiliacum. Este asentamiento en terreno más elevado se desarrolló más tarde como Op-Zellik y es el actual núcleo del pueblo de Zellik.
