Thieu es una aldea en la provincia belga de Hainaut, y un barrio de la comuna valona de Le Rœulx. Hasta el 1 de enero de 1977 fue un municipio independiente. La aldea se encuentra junto al Canal Central y es especialmente conocida por sus ascensores de barco. El 89.º obispo de Tournai, Jean-Joseph Delplancq, nació aquí en 1767. El compositor neerlandés Matthijs Vermeulen estuvo en Thieu algún tiempo en el seminario de los jesuitas.
