La estación original recordaba a la actual estación de Ronse, pero tuvo que ser demolida en los años 80 para ensanchar la N9 contigua. Se construyó una moderna estructura cúbica diseñada por Jacques Devincke, sobre la cual hay opiniones divididas. En su momento, la estación contaba con un gran conjunto de vías, un taller de locomotoras, un almacén de mercancías y una mesa de giro. Con la simplificación de las instalaciones a principios de los años 90, también se desmanteló el conjunto, lo que hizo que se perdiera el último recuerdo de tiempos bulliciosos.
