Trois Champs es un típico valle seco en la Calestiène. Dado que el subsuelo está compuesto de piedra caliza, que en realidad es un queso litológico con agujeros, el agua puede fluir fácilmente subterráneamente y no obtienes típicos riachuelos que, por ejemplo, sí tienes en áreas de pizarra.
