La Vennbahn fue un ferrocarril en los Cantones del Este que fue asignado a Bélgica por el Tratado de Versalles, aunque partes de él cruzaban Alemania. La Vennbahn conectaba los centros industriales de Aquisgrán y Luxemburgo de la manera más corta posible. En Bélgica, el trayecto Sankt Vith - Troisvierges es la línea de ferrocarril 47, el tramo Raeren - Sankt Vith es la línea de ferrocarril 48 y el trazado Raeren Frontera - Raeren es parte de la línea de ferrocarril 49.
