El conde Constant du Val de Beaulieu, alcalde de Mons, adquiere en 1803 la abadía de Cambron. Su hijo, el general Édouard Duval de Beaulieu de Blaregnies, construye el actual castillo a partir de la antigua enfermería de la abadía. Desplegada entre 1852 y 1854, la construcción se atribuye al arquitecto de Ath Désiré Limbourg. Este trabajó para Leopoldo I así como para su hijo. Datando de la misma época, unas rejas de hierro forjado situadas en la entrada de la propiedad están marcadas con las iniciales entrelazadas DVB de los condes de Val de Beaulieu. La familia du Val también poseía el castillo de Attre y el castillo de Beaulieu cerca de Mons.
