El castillo de Lavaux-Sainte-Anne es una obra de defensa que más tarde se convirtió en una vivienda histórica y un refugio natural.
La fortaleza de Lavaux-Ste-Anne data del siglo XIII. Originalmente, la fortaleza no era más que una sencilla torre de vigilancia, pero poco a poco ha adquirido su aspecto actual, con su torre y foso con forma de castillo.
Fue en el siglo XVII cuando se construyeron los lujosos apartamentos en el patio, así como la monumental puerta renacentista.
A principios del siglo XX, la 'Ligue des Amis du Château de Lavaux-Ste-Anne' abogó por abrir el castillo al público y para albergar museos en su interior. En 2004, la Liga hace restaurar los edificios, se reorganizan los museos y se adapta todo a la atmósfera natural y rural de Famenne.
