Il castello di Lavaux-Sainte-Anne è un'opera difensiva che in seguito divenne una residenza storica e un rifugio naturale.
La fortezza di Lavaux-Ste-Anne risale al XIII secolo. Inizialmente, la fortezza non era più che una semplice torre di avvistamento, ma gradualmente ha acquisito il suo aspetto attuale, con la sua torre e il fossato.
Solo nel XVII secolo furono costruiti gli appartamenti di lusso nel cortile, così come il monumentale portone rinascimentale.
All'inizio del XX secolo, la 'Ligue des Amis du Château de Lavaux-Ste-Anne' si impegnò affinché il castello fosse aperto al pubblico e vi fossero allestiti musei. Nel 2004, la Ligue fece restaurare gli edifici, riadattò i musei e adeguò il tutto all'atmosfera naturale e rurale della Famenne.
