El Castillo de Brachter se encuentra en medio de la localidad y fue construido entre 1782 y 1785 por encargo de Georg Friedrich August Ferrand de Montigny, cuya lápida se encuentra en la capilla de San Huberto en Weweler. En el siglo XIX, la familia de Montigny dejó la Eifel y abandonó el castillo. Posteriormente, pasó a manos del abuelo del actual propietario Hilar Kaut. El escudo de la familia de Montigny, en el que se pueden ver espadas y un león saltando, todavía se puede encontrar en la parte posterior del edificio. El castillo fue escenario de la película Winterspelt del director Eberhard Fechner en la década de 1970, basada en la novela de Alfred Andersch.
