El molino de Ter Borgtmolen fue, según la tradición, donado en el siglo XII por Arnaud de Oudenaarde a la abadía de Ename, junto con otros dos molinos de agua en los alrededores. En la segunda mitad del siglo XVI, el molino era propiedad del conde de Lalaing. Hasta 1967, Theofiel Roman mantuvo el molino en funcionamiento. El anterior propietario-residente permitió que se renovara el dominio con el molino de agua. El paso junto a la rueda del agua tiene un desnivel de 1,2 metros. En la margen izquierda, el bypass conecta con el Maarkebeek. El molino todavía es operable.
