Hengelhoef es un área natural y recreativa en Houthalen, en la provincia de Limburg, Bélgica. La parte natural de la zona ha sido gestionada desde 2002 por la asociación sin fines de lucro Limburgs Landschap. Hengelhoef consiste principalmente en un bosque de coníferas. Además, el dominio alberga un estanque de 8 hectáreas y un huerto de árboles de fruta alta de 9 hectáreas. También se mantiene la vegetación bajo dos líneas de alta tensión mediante trabajos de gestión. Debido a la escasez del suelo arenoso, esto debería llevar a dunas y brezos. Por último, a lo largo del Roosterbeek se encuentran también algunos prados interesantes.
