Justo fuera del Boekenbergpark se encuentra el Unitas Tuinwijk, un diseño del arquitecto Eduard Van Steenbergen. El barrio surgió a partir de 1924 y consta de 202 viviendas en estilo de cabañas inglesas. Van Steenbergen aprovechó la popularidad de los barrios-jardín. Eran barrios urbanos a los que se les daba un carácter rural.
Las viviendas de Unitas son muy similares entre sí, pero Van Steenbergen se aseguró de incluir diferencias sutiles en, por ejemplo, el trabajo de carpintería o los colores utilizados. Las adaptaciones a lo largo de los años han modificado un poco esa apariencia. Un plan de gestión de 2018 busca restaurar la imagen original.
