El cementerio militar alemán en Langemark es uno de los 4 cementerios de concentración alemanes en Bélgica. Este cementerio también se conoce como el ‘Studentenfriedhof’. Varios jóvenes soldados alemanes volunteers murieron aquí durante la Primera Batalla de Ypres en 1914. Ahora hay más de 44.300 soldados alemanes enterrados aquí. Más de la mitad descansan juntos en la tumba de camaradas cerca de la entrada del cementerio. Aproximadamente 17.000 soldados de esta fosa común pudieron ser identificados. Sus nombres se encuentran en los bloques alrededor de la tumba de camaradas.
