Aquí se ha demostrado arqueológicamente que alguna vez hubo una verdadera mina de oro: la llamada Trou des Massotais. Esta antigua mina de oro se encuentra a unos cientos de metros del cruce de Baraque Fraiture en la E25. A finales de la década de 1990, se vació el pequeño estanque y los investigadores, en colaboración con la Université de Liège, pudieron desenterrar un viejo túnel minero. Se examinó la estructura de soporte de madera y el análisis de carbono 14 proporcionó una datación que indica explotación desde la época celta (circa 360 a.C.) hasta el final del periodo galo-romano (circa 400 d.C.).
