En el territorio de esta parroquia de Brakel encontramos el castillo de Lilare. Es un vestigio del dominio de Lilare que ya se mencionaba en el siglo XII. El dominio fue adquirido en 1933 por las Hermanas de San Francisco de Asís, que establecieron allí un liceo para niñas. El terreno es de propiedad privada, pero pasea por la majestuosa avenida y disfruta del magnífico edificio de la puerta restaurado.
