Op het grondgebied van deze deelgemeente van Brakel vinden we het kasteel van Lilare. Het is een overblijfsel van de heerlijkheid van Lilare die reeds vermeld werd in de 12e eeuw. Het domein werd in 1933 aangekocht door de Zusters van Sint-Franciscus van Assisië die er een lyceum voor meisjes inrichtte. Het terrein zelf is privé gebied maar wandel even de statige dreef op en geniet van het prachtig gerestaureerde poortgebouw.
