El Ypres Salient o la Saliente de Ypres fue una línea de frente importante durante la Primera Guerra Mundial. La Saliente de Ypres formó una protrusión en el Frente Occidental y así era un pedazo de terreno aliado en territorio alemán ocupado. Puedes explorar el paisaje ondulado de la Saliente de Ypres a través de la red de senderos y/o la ruta ciclista Ypres Salient. En el camino, numerosos monumentos y cementerios recuerdan las sangrientas batallas que se libraron en esta área.
En tres lugares a lo largo de la Saliente de Ypres puedes, a través de nuevos puntos de acceso, recuperar el paisaje de guerra de hace 100 años a pie en el paisaje de hoy. En estos puntos de acceso encontrarás información sobre los últimos testigos de la Primera Guerra Mundial en y alrededor de Ypres.
