De regreso en el antiguo lecho del ferrocarril, vemos a la izquierda los bosques de Daknam, una zona arenosa situada a una altura un poco mayor. A la derecha se encuentran las marismas de Daknam, un área natural de 22 hectáreas de islas ribereñas y de turba. Para Urbanus, los bosques de Daknam no son desconocidos. En su 133ª historia, se adentra en los bosques y se abre camino hacia el prehistórico Lokeren con una carretilla de un recorrido especial en bicicleta.
