El Hoëgne es el primer afluente del Vesder. Este conocido arroyo nace en la meseta de los Altos Valles, cerca de Baraque Michel. El valle del Hoëgne tiene una gran importancia botánica, no solo por los hepáticas, musgos y helechos que se pueden encontrar, sino también por una notable riqueza floral.
El sendero del bosque fue construido a finales del siglo XIX e inaugurado por la reina María-Henrietta. Durante tu caminata descubrirás, entre otras cosas, el antiguo puente “Le Centenaire”, una parte del Hoëgne que se ha convertido en una torrentera hasta Belleheid, dos cascadas llamadas así en honor al Rey Leopoldo II y su esposa ... (sendero marcado n.º 55).
